Saturday June 1st 2024

On Saturday, June the 1st 2024, Brandon will hold its very first "Rainbow Colour Run and Pride Day" on the Remembrance Playing Fields in Brandon.

It’s going to be a fun, colourful event and will highlight to the wider community what a welcoming and inclusive town Brandon is.

The event itself including the stalls, entertainment & picnic area is free for everyone.

we will also be hosting a rainbow colour run. this is the part of the day that You will need to buy tickets to participate. tickets for the rainbow colour run will be on sale soon - look out on our socials and the website for more information on how to buy a ticket and what you will need to do!

The RAinbow colour run

The colour run's route will be on grass, will be marked out and will be marshalled.  It will be a short run for all the family, exact measurements to come!

Colour Runs derive from the Indian festival of Holi. They’re popular short family fun runs where coloured powder paint made from biodegradable corn starch is thrown into the air as runners pass. It really is exciting to watch as well as to participate.

The Pride Day

Our Pride Day is a family day, all about equality, friendship and community.  Unlike many Pride events, we’re not having a march, just a family-friendly, relaxed fun day for our small town.

There’ll be community, charity and trade stalls, St Peter’s Church coffee caravan will be there and we’ll have food and live music too. Family activities include rainbow welly wanging, rainbow face painting and hair braiding and we’ll have a rainbow raffle too.

We ask that if you join us on our day, you respect everyone and their space.

we are looking forward to having a colourful and exciting day with you.
